Purchasing a Computer - Students
If you are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to afford the technology you need to be academically successful, you can apply to Cal Poly Cares for assistance. Cal Poly Cares is available to any Cal Poly student including those whom are not federal Title IV eligible such as international and undocumented students.
The College of Science and Math does not have strict requirements around student computers, however a well functioning computer is an important tool for academic success. These are the specs for a computer that should last your 4 years at Cal Poly:
