Pulitzer Prize-Winning Author to Speak on Immigration
SAN LUIS OBISPO — Pulitzer Prize-winning author Sonia Nazario will give a presentation and book signing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9, in Chumash Auditorium on the Cal Poly campus.
Nazario will tell the story of Enrique, a Honduran boy who attempted to find his mother 11 years after she left to find work in the U.S. Nazario, a journalist and activist, retraced Enrique’s 1,600-mile journey herself, riding on the tops of trains and hitchhiking through Northern Mexico. Her presentation will include photographs of her travels.
